TafRaf is an established ceilidh band that performs in Herefordshire, Radnorshire, Mid-Wales and the West Midlands. The band made up of a pool of 20 or so young people, most of whom are classically trained musicians. Many of the band members are also active members of various orchestras,ensembles and bands in the Herefordshire area.

Some of the musicians* in TafRafBand members have performed as members of other bands/orchestras or as soloists at a number of prestigious locations around Britain including the Royal Festival Hall and Royal Albert Hall in London, Symphony Hall, Town Hall and Adrian Boult Hall in Birmingham, Dore Abbey, The Courtyard and Shirehall in Hereford, Wyeside Theatre in Builth Wells, The Anvil, Basingstoke, St Cuthbert's Festival, Wells as well as countless venues throughout Herefordshire and Mid-Wales. Two TafRaf musicians have recently toured China with a youth orchestra whilst another two are members of national or major regional orchestras.

Many members of the band have been playing ceilidh music together for a number of years, with Lady Hawkins' School's "A Band 'n' Hope". TafRaf is supplemented by a handful of musical adults and parents and is led from the front by David Rogers who draws on his more than 15 years of experience to call the dances and also joins the band on the accordion once the dancers are confidently going through their paces.
