This was the clarinet my parents bought for me in 1974, which was a good quality student instrument at the time. Neglected for many years now, it has always been kept in its case in a dry atmosphere, and as such has no cracks, but needs a good polish/service, as the nickel plating is very dull. All keys work however, and the cork seals seem OK. Having said that, I can't speak for how much/little work it will need to make it serviceable again. It's marked as La Couture, made in Czeckoslovakia, and I know that it is one owner and bought new in 1974. I believe that the bulk of the instrument is 'blackwood' - whatever that is - and that the keys are nickel.
