The instrument was purchased new in the mid 1980s and has been unused for the last twenty years. During this time it has been sensibly stored. The clarinet is in very good condition.
The wooden body is sound as are the corks. There is some extremely slight tarnishing to some of the metallic parts but this in no way detracts from its visual appeal. The mechanism is in excellent working order and the pads are in good condition but may benefit from being replaced at some time in the future. The mouthpiece is plastic as originally supplied (a 926).
The case is original, in sound condition, a few scuffs but visual damaging around the locks (key lost long ago).
