Yamaha YFL 311II flute with 12 month service guarantee

This is a Yamaha YFL 311II flute (serial number 367502). It comes complete with the original hard case, cleaning rod and carry bag. It was used for a couple of years by my daughter but has lain dormant for the last few years. We bought it in October 2005 as a second hand instrument from John Scheerer & Sons in Leeds (see original receipt). The flute is in good order, with signs of wear and tear consistent with its age including three minor dents. It was recently serviced by John Scheerer and carries a 12 month service guarantee (see repair invoice).

The flute is described as follows on the John Scheerer website:

“The YFL-311 can easily see an intermediate player through to the higher grades. The precious metal head gives a denser more focused sound, and this combines with the durability of a silver plated body and keys to make this an excellent intermediate instrument at a very affordable price. There have been a number of improvements made to the padding and set-up of the instrument in the last couple of years making sure that it stays at the top of its class. Solid silver headjoint, silver plated body and keywork, split E mechanism, supplied in a hard case with case cover.”
