This iconic Boosey & Hawkes Edgware clarinet was new in the early 1960s and I have been its only owner. It was played for only a few years due to the fact that when subsequently studying singing at the RCM, I was advised not to continue playing. (not conducive to a singer's loose jaw!) I still have it for purely nostalgic reasons The serial number is 187858. The instrument has been professionally checked and pronounced in good condition. The case is the original one. Included is the original booklet "A Word of Advice on the Clarinet" by Brian Manton-Myatt (Boosey & Hawkes Chief Woodwind Tuner 1929-1954)
Additional information added on 12 Oct 2012: Although the address is SW Scotland, the clarinet will be in central Birmingham from 15th October 2012, and a prospective buyer is welcome to try it out there.
